OLDER football players can now sign up to a new relaxed game.

Havant Borough Council, together with Havant Sport and Physical Activity Alliance, is supporting walking football.

It is designed for men aged over 50 and the sessions are open to anyone who is no longer able to keep up with the pace of traditional 11 or five-a-side games. All the rules are the same except for one difference – there is no running.

There is no need to pre-book, simply just bring yourself, a drink and a pair of trainers.’

Sessions are held on Saturdays at South Downs College, College Road, Crookhorn from 9am.

The first session is free, and £3 a session afterwards. It is open to all residents across the borough.

For more information call South Downs College on (023) 9279 7918 or sdcvillage@southdowns.ac.uk and Imogen Dawson on (023) 9244 6228 or imogen.dawson@havant.gov.uk.
