ANIMAL charity workers are looking to hear from former volunteers to help celebrate their 30th anniversary.

Gosport Cats Protection has been caring for cats and kittens in the town since 1982.

This year they want to celebrate their anniversary with volunteers who have helped out in the past.

Volunteer Kate Stapleford said: ‘Over the years Gosport Cats Protection has rehomed more than 400 kittens.

‘Most of the work in 1982 revolved around trapping and neutering colonies of feral cats in the Gosport naval establishments and in the High Street area.

‘As well as former volunteers we’d be interested to hear from anyone who has adopted a cat from Gosport Cats Protection, particularly in the early years and if you have an unusual or interesting tale to tell.’

If you were a volunteer with the charity at any point over the last 30 years or have adopted a cat from it, call (023) 9258 2601 or visit gosport.cats.org.uk.
