Charitable students packed Christmas hampers filled with festive goodies for people less fortunate than themselves.
Every single classroom at Miltoncross School has donated cans of food and clothes to go to homeless day centre Central Point, in Kingston Road, Portsmouth.
The school has been running this project since 2005 and contribute enough food at Christmas to feed homeless centre visitors to March.
Patrick Quin, head of Religion and Life Issues at the school, who used to run a homeless centre in Bournemouth before he took up teaching, said: 'We wanted to do something a bit different to filling shoe boxes.
'Homeless people are not on the streets out of choice, so anything we can do to help them is vitally important.
'Through making hampers our students are made aware of the degree of need and poverty in Portsmouth.'
