AS THE sun continues to shine in Portsmouth, scores of people have been heading out to the seafront.

Summer has come early and people have been taking advantage of the warm weather.

Yesterday temperatures reached 18 degrees and it looks set to continue.

Abby Flannagan, 17, a student from South Downs College, went to the Hot Walls, in Old Portsmouth.

Abby, of Gains Road, Southsea, said: ‘I’ve just finished my air cabin crew course and had the day off.

‘I saw it was going to be sunny and so grabbed my towel and bikini and headed to the Hot Walls.

‘I had a great day and hope it stays warm.’

The Met Office has forecast warm weather for the next few days.

A spokesman said: ‘The temperature should reach 19 degrees today.

‘It might not get as warm tomorrow, but should reach 18 degrees.’
