A SPLASH pool has reopened as normal after vandalism saw it closed for two days.

Portsmouth City Council had been forced to close Hilsea Splash Pool, next to Hilsea Lido, after the filters were blocked and the fittings in the toilet were damaged.

The incident happened on Bank Holiday Monday and the play area was closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

A post on Portsmouth City Council’s Facebook page said: ‘We are very pleased to let you know that Hilsea Splash Pool will reopen today as normal.’

It opened a few days ago for summer and will be open until September 1.
