FIREFIGHTERS have warned against the dangers of hoax calls.
It comes after a hoax call saw fire engines have to go to Jervis Road, Portsmouth, at about 1pm on Saturday.
A child is understood to have dailled 999 and said they could smell smoke.
Southsea’s crew manager Jasper Taylor said: ‘It was time wasted to us.
‘We could have been on scene when there was a more serious incident elsewhere. But we respond to everything.’
