A JOB-HUNTING teenager has appeared in an online mini series watched by nearly half a million people.

Holly Ure, 19, from Gosport, was on Job Academy, run by totaljobs.com, to boost her chances of finding employment.

Ahead of going on the show, Holly, who volunteers at youth group Loud and Proud, was struggling to find a job as a hair and make-up artist.

She said: ‘I’ve wanted to be a professional hair and make-up artist for as long as I can remember. I love the creativity of it, and the opportunities to meet interesting people and travel around.

‘However, Gosport isn’t the best place to be for this kind of work, and because I don’t have much experience outside of my course, it’s been hard to find work outside the area.

‘I’m also quite shy, which has meant that I’ve find it difficult approaching people.’

But after going on the show, Holly has been much more pro-active and has now secured a retail job.
