IF YOU love dogs you won’t want to miss one of the area’s biggest and best dog shows this weekend.
The Kennel Club licenced companion dog show and fete is back at Merchistoun Hall, Horndean, tomorrow, to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Each year the London children’s hospital benefits from the fete which combines traditional stalls selling delicious preserves and other goods with rides, birds of prey exhibitions and a brilliant dog show.
Organiser Rick Restorick, from Cowplain, said: ‘We only have five pedigree classes and the rest are aimed at people with dogs at home that they would like to enter.
‘They don’t need to be pedigrees.
‘We even have a spectators choice where the audience choose their favourites.’
The fun starts at 11am and goes on until 5.30pm.
There is space for people wanting to do a car boot sale but they will need to arrive early as the car park is likely to fill up quickly.
Merchistoun Hall is in Portsmouth Road, Horndean.
