A DEAD horse was pulled out of a river.

One appliance from Havant fires station and the animal rescue vehicle, with an adviser from Lymington, went to Mill Lane, Bedhampton at 3.15pm.

Two firefighters used dry suits to go into the water and attach a rope to the horse.

The animal rescue vehicle then pulled the animal out.

Over in Portsmouth, a crew assisted someone trapped in Co-op near Guildhall Square.

A crew from Southsea went to help at 2.11pm.
