PLANTS are being potted and handicrafts are being finished off in time for the first Hayling Island Horticultural Society show of the year.

The organisers have promised lots of daffodils and narcissi along with other spring flowers, pot plants, some early vegetables, junior classes, cookery, handicrafts and floral art.

There will be tombola, plant and book tables and summer bulbs for sale.

Afternoon teas with home made cakes will be available.

The event is on March 31 at Hayling Island Community Centre, Station Road, from 2pm.

Trophies and prizes will be presented at 4pm.
