FIREFIGHTERS spent more than four hours tackling a barn fire.

Four fire engines went to Woodleigh Farm, off River Lane, Funtley, near Fareham, at about 6.45pm.

Hay had caught fire in a metal-clad barn, which measured 18 metres and six metres.

Firefighters used eight breathing apparatus to contain the blaze and let it burn out before dampening down.

No-one was hurt.

A fire spokeswoman said: ‘We will be doing an investigation into it.’
