PEOPLE are being invited to help clean Southsea and Eastney beach this morning.

A huge litter pick has been organised by the Marine Conservation Society of its national beach cleaning scheme.

The event starts at 11am and volunteers are asked to arrive a few minutes beforehand.

Litter pickers should meet roughly halfway between the Royal Marine Museum and Eastney Swimming Pool.

There will be a free M&S barbecue for participants.
