Emma Drummond ran in memory of her mum who lost her battle with cancer.

Lynne Standen, who was aged 55, passed away seven years ago.

Emma took on the 5k run with friend Lorna Wilkins and they both dressed up in bright pink as they hit the streets of Southsea.

Emma, 34, from Wecock Farm, said: ‘I do it every year. It’s amazing to do it just for her.

‘She would be so proud of me dressing up like this. It’s brilliant. The atmosphere is amazing.’

Lorna, 41, from Denvilles, added: ‘Two good friends of mine have got terminal cancer. So it means a lot to do this. I want to raise money to try and find a cure for it.’
