WHEN children at a day nursery wanted to visit the beach, staff decided to bring the seaside to them.

Kiddi Caru’s day nursery, in Whiteley, gave the youngsters all the fun of the beach without going outside.

Staff brought in a sandpit, paddling pool and gave everyone a bucket and spade to build sandcastles.

And no trip to the beach would be complete without some summer snaps, and the children were able to walk away with a seaside photo, thanks to a photo booth.

After a splash in the pool, digging in the sand, the children cooled off with a glass of summer fruit punch to give an authentic holiday feel.

Kiddi Caru business manager Lisa Roper said: ‘We often feel inspired to transform the nursery into a completely different space.

‘The children love it because it is new and exciting.’
