CHURCH-GOERS will soon hear how a former drug dealer turned his life around after he became a Christian.

Barry Woodward will share his life story at City Life Church, in Tangier Road, Copnor, on March 17 and 18. Barry, who grew up in Salford, Greater Manchester, left school at 16 with no qualifications and turned to drugs.

After spending time in prison and being hooked on heroin for 14 years, he says had an encounter with god and turned to Christianity.

Barry’s talk will start at 10.30am on both days.

Dan Harman, 28, who was recently appointed as the church’s new pastor, said: ‘Barry has an amazingly inspirational story to tell. He has a great sense of humour.

‘I hope it will help people believe they can turn their lives around.’
