International flavour at Ferneham Hall classical concert

FRESH from winning a News Guide Award, Havant Symphony Orchestra is preparing for a great concert.

Last month, Havant Orchestras – which includes Havant Chamber Orchestra – won best classical music act 2012 at the hotly-contested awards night.

Now fans can look forward to a show celebrating the music of many countries at Ferneham Hall, Fareham, on March 16.

The evening will begin with the fantasy overture Helios by the Danish composer Carl Nielsen followed by two English works – the second Little Suite by Sir Malcolm Arnold, and the Cello Concerto by Sir Edward Elgar.

Tchaikovsky’s Second Symphony will complete the show.

Go to havantorchestras.hampshire.org.uk for tickets.
