SUPER-SWIMMER Anna Wardley is leading a fundraising event this weekend.

The Gosport-based ocean swimmer has 12 people ready to swim 10km from Ryde to Cowes on the Isle of Wight, on Saturday. Each person will raise £150 for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, Samaritans and Sail Africa.

An acclimatisation swim is being held at Stokes Bay at 6.30pm today.

As reported, Anna, 37, is swimming around five islands for charity.

She is due to swim 60 miles around the Isle of Wight in September.
