A FAREHAM firm is staging its own version of It’s A Knockout to raise money for Help for Heroes.

The Fair Trade Practice, which specialises in claims for PPI compensation, is holding the event this Friday August 17 at the Everyone Active Fareham Leisure Centre, which has let the company use its facilities for free.

The company has given its 100 staff half a day off to compete in the event and has set each of them all the challenge of raising a minimum of £50 through sponsorship from family and friends.

Their target is to raise £5,000 to go towards Help for Heroes’ push to create Defence Recovery Centres providing facilities to support injured servicemen and women.

Managing director Mark Lance said: ‘With such a strong local connection to the armed forces and with several of our staff ex-forces personnel, we wanted to do our bit to raise money for Help for Heroes.’

The company has pledged to donate a £1 for any new claim from customers with a Portsmouth postcode. Visit thefairtradepractice.co.uk
