This week's T-shirt winners are two friends who have been praised for helping a woman who was mauled by a dog.

Jamie Rapson, 20, of Selbourne Gardens, Gosport, was driving with friend Tom Price when they spotted Emma Savage being attacked.

They had been on their way to play football, but when they saw what was happening they quickly pulled over and came to the rescue of the 30-year-old.

Emma had been walking a 10-stone American bulldog called Rowdy for her neighbour when it turned on her and attacked her arm.

Jamie and Tom stopped and managed to scare off the dog before calling for an ambulance and tending to Emma's injuries.

Doctors say she may not regain full use of the arm that was bitten.

But Emma says it could have been a lot worse had the pair not come to her rescue in Marine Parade West, Lee-on-the-Solent.

Emma is now recovering from her injuries at her home in Lee.

Tom, 21, a plumber of Percy Road, Gosport, says: 'I would have stopped for anyone if they were being attacked.

'I didn't even think about what I was doing.

'My friend pulled up in his car, I got out, ran at the dog and just scared it away.

'Afterwards I couldn't sleep for two days because her injuries were really bad. But I would do it again for anyone.'
