GAME-for-a-laugh Jo Brown decided to finish her working life in her own unique way – by dressing as a witch.

The 63-year-old decided to spend her last day dressed up with her two colleagues Lisa Jackson, 44, and Jeannette Succamore, 53.

The cackling trio went down a storm with residents at St Clare’s Court, a sheltered housing complex in Warren Park, Havant, where Jo worked as a manager for the past few years.

Jo, from Clanfield, whose working life spanned 48 years, said: ‘When I gave them my retirement dates, I chose October 31.

‘I did not want it to be a sad day. I wanted it to be a party.’

Jo said she has always been interested in witches as she hails from Pendle in Lancashire, which was the home of England’s most famous witch trials in the 17th century.

Mrs Jackson, a support assistant, said: ‘The residents have absolutely loved it. They love dressing up!’

Jo said she now plans to enjoy a well-earned rest, touring Britain.
