PEOPLE are being encouraged to put on their walking boots and take part in the Big Blue Walk.

Rounding off Blue Day tomorrow evening, the walk gives people who want to support the event but were not part of an organised event an opportunity to get involved and raise some money for the Tom Prince Cancer Trust by sponsorship.

The Big Blue Walk, which starts at 6pm tomorrow, is a one-and-a-half mile leisurely stroll along Southsea seafront, starting and finishing outside the Blue Reef Aquarium.

Clinton Prince, Tom’s dad, said: ‘Where people sometimes can’t take part in Blue Day, it’s a great way to show support.

‘It’s a short distance so it’s not a long walk. So as long as the weather holds off, it’s a good walk. It’s good exercise and it’s good company. It also gets people who have participated in Blue Day to come together and do a little social walk in the evening.’

For details visit tomprince.co.uk or just turn up shortly before 6pm tomorrow.
