CHILDREN are being encouraged to take part in a sponsored walk for charity.

The Wessex Cancer Trust has organised the Tiddler’s Trek on Saturday at 10am. People can choose from either a three-mile or 1.5-mile route and fancy dress is optional.

It starts from Canoe Lake, in Southsea, and goes along part of the seafront, and around Southsea Common.

It costs £3.50 to preregister a child aged 16 and under, and £4 on the day. Adults go free.
