FANCY a set of extraordinary corkscrews? Or perhaps some beautiful glasses?
You never know what you may find at the Social Swap, run by green group the Havant Transition Network.
Jacquie Penrose, one of the organisers, said: ‘The objective of the Social Swap is to keep stuff out of landfill.
‘You take along items you no longer want – such as plants, kitchen utensils and clothes – and there’s bound to be someone else who can find a use for it. It stops it going in the bin. We had some lovely items on Saturday at The Spring, in Havant.
‘My favourite was an incredible corkscrew set. It was huge.
‘You don’t have to bring something along in order to take something away with you.
‘It’s also an opportunity to sit in the cafe, have a chat and find out more about the Havant Transition Network.’
The next swap is due to take place on March 18 at The Spring, East Street.
