BANGS, flashes and mini battles kept families entertained at a boat show.
Canoe Lake hosted the annual Model Boat Display Show that is organised and hosted by Fratton Model Centre.
The Southsea lake became a battleground as the model boats took the water in a show of strength.
The Fratton Model Centre put their scaled boats onto the water and used the opportunity to explain history to spectators.
And this year, the club was joined by another team after both decided it would make for a more interesting day.
The Southern Model Lifeboat Society displayed their museum standard lifeboat models both on and off the water.
Alan Taylor, a salesman at Fratton Model Centre, said: ‘We have three shows a year and we all look forward to all of them.
‘We have one in June, August and September but this time we decided to do something different.
‘Having the life boat models join us meant we could have a wider range on display and we hope to invite more clubs in the future.
‘It’s a great day out and everyone loves the mini-battles, the bangs and all the excitement on the water.’
Fratton Model Centre displayed its usual mock sea battles involving sailing ships, and their Second World War convoy action.
Throughout the day, the boat owners were raising money for the RNLI.
