GREEN-FINGERED residents are being reminded to enter a gardening competition before it closes.

The annual Fareham in Bloom competition is looking for entrants.

Horticultural fans have until Saturday, June 14 to submit their gardens to the competition’s 20 categories.

People can enter hanging baskets to plantsman gardens, and there are accolades for best business premises and best community floral display.

Executive member for leisure and community, Councillor Connie Hockley said: ‘The competition is a fantastic way of getting community members involved in enhancing the environment.

‘Their contributions have been instrumental to Fareham’s success in the annual Britain in Bloom competition.’
