PUBS, bars, restaurants and village halls are set to open later during the Royal wedding weekend.

The House of Lords has voted in favour of the Licensing Hours Order, allowing venues to stay open until 1am on April 30, and May 1.

It will also allow an extension of entertainment such as live music.

A ministerial sign-off for it to become law is expected to be given next week.
