A Volunteer service based at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham will hold an art exhibition in its coffee shop.

The League of Friends, which is on Level B of the hospital, is run entirely by volunteers.

From Wednesday, September 2, the coffee shop will be transformed into an art gallery, displaying members of the League’s paintings and photographs.

As part of the display, the League will hold its annual art and photography competition, which will decide on a winner of the best artwork.

Reigning champion June Bryant will be looking to make it two years in a row, as she returns to display some of her wide variety of pieces.

The League, which was formed in 1952, aims to improve care and comfort given to the patients and staff at the hospital in Cosham.

The exhibition will be on display on level B until Saturday, October 3.
