VISUALLY-IMPAIRED readers can enjoy their fix of fiction at a library’s reading group.

The group is looking for new members to meet and talk about different stories over a cup of tea at Lee-on-the-Solent Library.

Assistant library manager Marie Jeffery said: ‘They are a really welcoming and friendly group.

‘Some of them read the stories with large print and others listen to them on tape or CD.

‘Then they discuss the stories like any other reading group.

‘Often it brings back memories of past times or something like that and they have a good chat about it.

‘They are a small group at the moment and would like some new members.’

The visually-impaired reading group meets on the first Wednesday of every two months at the Lee-on-the-Solent Library in High Street.

The sessions run from 10am until midday.

The group will meet again in August.
