Weathermen predict another glorious day today after Lee-on-the-Solent was recorded as the hottest place in the country.
Temperatures there reached a sizzling 80.6F (26.7C) yesterday.
The bout of warm weather is being caused by hot air travelling from the continent and a settled weather pattern.
And weather experts say it is likely to get even hotter over the next couple of days - with temperatures hitting 82.4F (28C).
Rebekah Sherwin, a weather forecaster at the Met Office, said: ‘It’s going to be another glorious day in Portsmouth and the surrounding areas.
‘There will be more clear skies and similar temperatures to yesterday.
‘Though it will become cooler by the weekend, there will still be plenty of sunshine.’
