A RESIDENTS’ association has raised £140 for charity at its monthly table top sale.

Lee Residents’ fundraising committee member Ray Harding raised the cash with a raffle held at the Boost event at the Methodist Church Hall, in High Street, Lee-on-the-Solent.

Ray, who had a triple heart bypass, organises the monthly Boost table top sale and raises money for the British Heart Foundation once a year in February.

He said: ‘We’ve been running the Boost event for four years now and it’s been very successful, it generates a lot of interest.

‘It’s a good way to communicate with people in the area and help people.

‘We try not to have people doing the same thing.’

A number of stall holders were at the event this week, including The News with Gosport reporter Ben Fishwick taking down people’s stories.

The next one will be held at the same venue on March 19. Call (023) 9255 1706.
