FANS will take on the Hawks in a fun-filled charity football match to raise cash for returfing the pitch.
Havant and Waterlooville Football Club has decided to finish off the season with a light-hearted game to help raise funds for the club.
It comes after problems this season with a water-logged pitch.
The club, based at West Leigh Park, Martin Road, West Leigh, has decided to returf the pitch after this season and improve the drainage.
Fans wanted to help the club with the expense and have organised a charity match.
Kick-off is 7.45pm tomorrow with free entry, although a donation will be asked for to watch the 90-minute match.
Hawks fan Nathan Jeffery, 28, of Woolston Road, Warren Park, said: ‘It’s going to be a laugh. Quite a few players know the fans.
‘We know we are going to get battered!’
Manager Shaun Gale said: ‘It’s a fantastic gesture by the fans. The most important thing is to raise as much money as possible.’
There will also be a raffle, with prizes donated by the 02 shop and F Hinds in Havant.
