THE RNLI lifeboat was scrambled at the weekend after a yacht ran aground.

The 64ft Dutch Karma got into trouble at East Head, Chichester Harbour, on Saturday, and started heeling over at a very fast rate.

Hayling RNLI laid out a stern anchor from the yacht so that when the tide came back in at around 10pm the skipper would be able to pull the stern of the yacht around.

When the crew were preparing to return at 10pm the Coastguard informed them the yacht had re-floated and was not damaged in any way.
