POLICE have named the man killed on the A27 yesterday.
Alan Potter, 45, of Hewett Road, North End, died when he was struck by a lorry on the eastbound carriageway of the A27 at 7.25am, near Chichester.
Mr Potter died at the scene of the accident. Police are still investigating the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
The road was closed in both directions for several hours as police carried out an investigation.
Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 101 quoting Operation Kircaldy.
