Attackers filmed an assault on a cyclist

A 29-YEAR-OLD man was filmed being assaulted while cycling in Portsmouth.

Hampshire Constabulary has just released details of the assault, which took place on February 2, between 8.30pm and 9pm, in which a man filmed someone punch a cyclist and steal his bike.

The victim was cycling in Angerstein Road, in North End, and had just passed the Monmouth Road junction and was heading towards Stamshaw Road, when a man came over to him from the other side of the road.

He asked if the victim had a light and as he went to get one, the suspect punched him and knocked him over.

The victim was able to get back up and saw a second suspect filming the attack.

The first suspect then assaulted the man further and rode off on his bike.

The first suspect was white, in his late 20s, 5ft 10in, athletic with broad shoulders and short brown hair. He was wearing stonewashed blue jeans and a dark Adidas hooded top.

The second suspect was white and holding a white mobile phone.
