Avram tucks into a tasty treat at city restaurant
It was time for celebration for Pompey manager Avram Grant as he enjoyed a feast fit for a king after the match.
Grant and his wife Tzofit headed to The Pizza House restaurant in London Road, Hilsea, for a celebratory meal.
Staff at the Italian restaurant got the call at about 3pm on Saturday that Avram was 'hungry' and would like to dine there.
Manager Christian Mascia said they opened early so the Grants could celebrate.
They tucked into a banquet of seafood, veal and lobster.
'He was very happy,' said Mr Mascia. 'You could see he was happy.
'His wife was also very pleased for him.
'He said it had been one of the best days he'd had. We had a replica FA cup over his head. We have kept it. We knew we would get back into the semi-finals again!'
The restaurant is well-known for famous faces dining there, including Harry Redknapp and Milan Mandaric during their days at Pompey, Tory leader David Cameron and TV presenter Gaby Roslin.
Tzofit is an Israeli actress and television host who has made headlines before for her television antics, including bathing in chocolate and drinking her own urine.
Mr Mascia said a fantastic time was had by all.
'I think he deserved it,' he said.
'I don't open early for many people.'
