A 16-year-old boy was attacked

A TEENAGE boy was attacked and robbed as he walked in Portsmouth.

The 16-year-old was approached by a man as he walked up a path from Blakemere Crescent, in Paulsgrove, to Meadowsweet Way, in Wymering.

The victim told officers he was grabbed by the throat, threatened and punched 
in the ribs during the 
attack around 9.30pm on Monday.

The man ran off with a brown leather Burton wallet containing £60.

The teenager was not seriously injured.

The victim said the man was white, in his late 20s, around 6ft tall, of medium build and dressed in dark clothing.

He had a black scarf over his face and spoke with a local accent.
