Cash boost for groups

HAMPSHIRE County Council has pledged £63,000 to help voluntary groups in Fareham, Havant and Gosport.

Motiv8 South has been given £21,500 to help support vulnerable young people in Fareham and Gosport.

Havant Women’s Aid receives £13,939 to fund support for victims of domestic abuse.

Park Community School in Havant has been given £14,241 to run a project supporting young people who are not in employment, education or training.

Y Services for Young People was given £1,555 to fund a young women’s group and a community involvement project.

Gosport Voluntary Action received £3,612 to support a group for vulnerable young women.

The Legacy Project and Moving On Project was awarded £4,163 to pay for a health and wellbeing service in the area around Brune Park School, Gosport. The same projects also received another £4,163 to fund a similar scheme in Bridgemary. Around £46,000 worth of cash grants were also given to projects which cover the whole of Hampshire.
