Class aims to show the way to a life free from back pain
People with back problems are urged to take part in an education session to help manage their condition.
The DDB Physiotherapy Clinic in Pier Street, Lee-on-the-Solent, will host an awareness event tomorrow.
Didi Berry, who runs the clinic, said: 'So many people have back problems. At any one time an average of one per cent of the population is not at work because of it and it's usually to do with management of their problem.
'Everybody gets frightened when they hurt themselves, but often they do the wrong thing – they think they should lie down and rest.
'Then they go to the GP, are given medication, often return because it doesn't work and end up developing a chronic back problem – which is avoidable. We just want to educate people.'
