HE'S PART of Pompey's midfield diamond, but Jamie O'Hara had his mind on diamonds of a different kind during a recent trip to Paris.
The Fratton Park star chose the world's most romantic city to propose to girlfriend Danielle Lloyd.
Rumours have suggested that the pair were engaged since October, when a press photographer snapped he wearing what appeared to be a diamond ring, but the couple have waited until now to reveal the speculation is true.
Former Miss England Danielle said: 'I don't know how he kept it secret because I usually find out everything - he'd spoken to my mum and even asked my dad's permission.
'I didn't know he'd got the ring or hidden it from me.'
O'Hara, 23, who joined Portsmouth in August from Tottenham Hotspur, has been going out with Ms Lloyd since April this year.
He popped the question, over a bottle of champagne, on the penthouse terrace of a luxury hotel, with panoramic views over Paris.
