Rail passengers experienced delays on services in and out of Portsmouth today after a signal went wrong and a train broke down.
A signalling problem at Portsmouth Harbour and a broken down train at Hilsea caused services to and from Portsmouth Harbour to be delayed by up to 20 minutes. The problems had knock-on effect on lines to London, Southampton and Sussex but Network Rail announced that the problems had been resolved by 10.30am.
