AN ESTATE agent has been banned from the road after she was caught drink driving.
Donna Davy, of Church Path, Titchfield, was stopped by police on August 1 after she was seen driving slowly through Titchfield, near Fareham.
The court heard the 51-year-old had earlier called in to the tennis club, where she is also a coach, to find that a party was taking place.
Her defence, Bill Charlton, told Fareham magistrates that Davy had not expected the party and had only stayed a short while, having a couple of drinks, without eating, before she decided to drive home.
When she was stopped, she was found to have 67mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, nearly double the legal limit.
Mr Charlton said that a ban would have a serious consequences for her employer – a letting agent in Stubbington.
Davy was fined £325, and made to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £35 court costs.
She was banned from driving for one year, which she can reduce by three months by attending 16 hours of a drink-driver awareness course.
