Drink-driver, 77, is caught out
DRINK-DRIVER Barry Martin has been banned from the roads.
Martin was caught out while driving a Nissan Almera in Twyford Drive, Lee-on-the-Solent, on November 15.
A test revealed the 77-year-old’s blood contained 127 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.
The legal limit is 80mg.
Martin, of Springfield Way, Fareham, was fined £325 and told to pay £15 to victims of crime and £85 in court costs by Fareham magistrates.
He was banned from driving for a year. But the ban could be reduced if he completes a government-approved driving course.
