A man entered the house but fled when challenged by the elderly woman.
He still managed to steal £50 in cash.

‘Please be vigilant if you have elderly or vulnerable neighbours and we would remind people to ensure they shut and lock windows and doors when returning home and settling down for the evening.’
The theft happened on Sunday at around 5pm, but police have only just released details.
