WANTED A CCTV image of one of the men

A MAN was left with a broken jaw after being attacked while he waited for a taxi in Portsmouth.

Police have now released images of three men they need to speak to in relation to the assault.

Officers were called out shortly before 1am last Friday to a disturbance outside City Wide Taxis at The Hard interchange.

A 25-year-old man, from Emsworth, was waiting for a taxi he had ordered when one pulled up and three men attempted to take the booking instead.

The victim tried to speak with the trio to establish who had reserved the taxi just arriving.

One of the three men then punched him.

The victim suffered a fractured jaw, which required treatment at Queen Alexandra Hospital.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Daisy Sharma, from Fratton police station, said: ‘I’m looking to identify any of the three men who were spotted at the scene around the time of the assault.’

Witnesses or anyone with information should contact CID at Fratton Police Station by phoning 101. Alternatively call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
