THE father of a woman found dead at her home has paid tribute to his daughter.
Debbie Levey, 44, was found dead at Cherry Tree Cottage, East Ashling, in Chichester, by a work colleague on Monday morning.
Her father, John Etherton, speaking on behalf of Debbie’s family, said: ‘We are all absolutely devastated by this terrible news. Debbie was a most caring and compassionate person, who worked in a series of caring professions. We all loved her deeply.’
A 45-year-old Selsey man, arrested on Monday on suspicion of her murder, has been released on bail until February 21.
A post-mortem did not reveal any obvious cause of death.
Detective Chief Inspector Ian Pollard said: ‘The last time Debbie was seen alive was at home at 12.30pm on Sunday. We would like to hear from anyone who was in contact with her after that time. We’d also like to hear from anyone who saw a blue Vauxhall Vectra parked in a lay-by across the road from Cherry Tree Cottage.’
