Fans win police over

POLICE say Pompey fans did Portsmouth proud as the weekend of FA Cup celebrations ended with hardly any trouble.

Only one Pompey fan was arrested on the trains to Wembley on Saturday as nearly 600 officers patrolled the stations.

And despite up to 200,000 people watching the homecoming parade on Sunday only one person was detained by police.

Superintendent Operations Andy Ball said: 'It's an excellent reflection on those supporters who made the trip.'
