FAREHAM MP Mark Hoban met members of a breast cancer charity and pledged his support to the cause.
Mr Hoban attended Breakthrough Breast Cancer’s 13th annual Westminster Fly-in event and met Joan Welsh and Janet Sayers from the charity.
It is the charity’s lobbying event to show how they can help influence the NHS and help breast cancer patients by increasing awareness of the signs and symptoms of the disease.
The charity says Mr Hoban supports its aim of making sure everyone with breast cancer has the right to personalised treatment.
Mr Hoban said: ‘Meeting Joan and Janet at the Westminster Fly-in really highlighted what we need to do to stop more women dying from breast cancer.
‘Survival rates in the UK currently fall behind that of Europe and it simply isn’t good enough.
‘The NHS needs to take action to ensure everyone has access to the best possible treatments and make breast cancer survival a reality.’
Joan said: ‘We are thrilled that Mark Hoban is supporting our work in ensuring that women receive the best possible information, diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer.’
