Fareham shopping centre up for accolade
Fareham Shopping Centre was shortlisted for an award at the Purple Apple Awards.
The centre has been nominated for the of category of Overall Strategic Marketing Campaign for the Reduce your carbon footprint campaign.
The campaign encouraged shoppers to recycle their old shoes in support of several local charities.
Centre manager Pam Gillard said: 'It was fantastic to join other shopping centres specialising in marketing to showcase our promotional work at this top national level.
'We're already making preparations for next year's entry which will be even bigger and better.'
The centre launched its new Green Zone in April, which shows shoppers how small steps can lead to big changes.
Shoppers can visit the zone to pick up green hints and tips and enter the centre's latest green campaign to recycle used postage stamps for charity.
