Chairwoman of the licensing committee Councillor Diana Harrison built on her previous win by scoring a huge majority over her nearest rival.

Councillor Harrison joined the council in a by-election in 1999, and last night said: 'I hoped I would win and I am delighted but it would be silly to say that I was really worried. With my colleagues in Fareham West we have worked hard to build the support here.'
