Film memorabilia is snatched from Denmead home

SCIENCE-fiction collectables were stolen from a house in Denmead.

The burglary occurred at a house in Uplands Road.

Thieves forced their way in to the home and made off with an unopened box of Planet of the Apes cards from the 1970s and silver Philharmonic coins dated 2009.

Detective Constable Craig Rainsley said: ‘These are rare collectable items and I would like to hear from anyone that has been offered them for sale.’

The burglary happened between 9.30am and 2pm on Friday, March 15.

The Planet of The Apes cards relate to the film franchise that was borne out of the 1963 French novel in which humans visit a planet where gorillas and chimpanzees are the dominant civilisation.

Anyone with information should call North Walls police station by phoning 101.
